FAQs

Does Verizon charge for call forwarding?
Verizon doesn't charge to set up call forwarding, but forwarded calls use your plan's minutes. If you forward calls to a long-distance number, charges may apply.
Will my phone still ring when call forwarding is enabled?
If you use immediate forwarding (*72), your phone won't ring — calls go straight to Echo Route. With conditional forwarding (*71), your phone rings first, and only forwards if you don't answer.
Can I forward calls internationally?
Generally, you can only forward calls to numbers within the U.S. Verizon does not support international call forwarding to most countries.
Can I forward text messages too?
No, Verizon's call forwarding only works for phone calls. Text messages will still be delivered to your original number.
Can I forward calls from a Verizon landline?
Yes! Dial *72 plus the forwarding number from your landline, just like with a mobile phone. To turn it off, dial *73.
